Pilchuck Celebrates

Monday, July 27, 2020

Pilchuck Celebrates is the annual tradition of bringing the school's most ardent supporters together. Attendance is by invitation-only.

This year, Pilchuck Celebrates will be held on Monday, July 27, 2020 and will offer a sneak peek of Pilchuck's plans for its 50th Anniversary in 2021.

Every other year, Pilchuck Glass School honors a distinguished artist with the Libenský | Brychtová Award and a philanthropic leader with the Patron of the Arts Award.

The Libenský | Brychtová Award acknowledges extraordinary talent and high achievement in the world of contemporary glass. To determine recipients for this award, a jury is comprised of previous awardees. This jury considers an artist’s prominent standing in the world of contemporary glass, artistic achievement and educational leadership. Historically, the award has also acknowledged the teaching and ambassadorial contributions recipients have made to Pilchuck. The Libensky-Brychtova Award is the most significant artistic accolade that an artist can receive from Pilchuck Glass School.

The Patron of the Arts Award is given to those individuals whose leadership and philanthropic contributions have impacted Seattle, national, and/or international arts communities.
