Open-Call: Pilchuck Gallery Window & Digital Exhibition

Applications due Friday, December 18

Energize the Pilchuck Gallery window with a physical display and digital exhibition!

While we are still unable to occupy the Pioneer Square, Seattle-based Pilchuck Gallery, we have created a unique opportunity for an artist or curator to experiment with content, document new works and get their art in front of a larger audience while activating both our physical and digital space. The jury will select one winner who will mount an exhibition in our space for two months from March-April of next year. If conditions permit, we will host an opening event but our space will generally not be open to the pubic so we encourage applicants to consider how they will best design to and make use of our expansive window-front.

The winner will also have the opportunity to produce digital content such as a panel, interview, short film, etc., that will be distributed and promoted by Pilchuck through our various social media platforms. The digital content should be designed to bring relevant content or add conceptual richness to the artwork and should be carefully considered as the jury will be considering entire package in its selection process. The winner will receive a $2000 budget inclusive of all exhibition expenses and artist fees.

Project proposal outlining approach to both physical and digital spaces. If curatorial, the proposal must list all artists involved. Please provide five (5) images, resume/CV.

Apply for free! Applications are due by 11:59 PM [Pacific] on Friday, December 18, 2020.
