Program Coordinator

‍The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Outreach & Education Supervisor to implement the professional development component of the Pilchuck Fellowship program. The Program Coordinator will also work closely with the Program Supervisor to support campus activities and alternate hours with them to ensure campus is fully supported. The Program Coordinator must maintain a high level of honesty, integrity and confidentiality – along with a sense of humor.

Recommended Experience:
‍

• MFA or equivalent experience, and an interest in acting as a leader at Pilchuck.
• 3 to 5 years of experience with the Pilchuck Glass School education program, ideally with participation in different roles on campus.
• Highly organized and self-motivated.
• Excellent communication skills with supervisors and fellows.Uses professional courtesy and diplomacy at all times.
• Capacity to execute tasks with accuracy, consistency, efficiency, with an attention to detail.
• The ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
• Is comfortable having critical conversations and leading a group of people.Is comfortable with public speaking.

General Outline Of Tasks:

• Presents professional development workshops to fellows after developing lesson plans for giving an effective slide presentation, building clear and concise resume/CV/Bio, how to apply for residencies and using social media as a marketing tool.
• Coordinate the Fellow’s daily duties and professional development activities with the Program Supervisor, the Outreach & Education Supervisor and the Operations Supervisor.
• Create the fellows’ calendar.
• Creates and manages a group chat with fellows.
• Organizes fellows meetings with Artists in Residence (AiRs).
• Develop an excursion for fellows to visit local artists’ studios.
• Keeps pace with the campus as a whole to maintain a positive supportive environment.
• Occasionally makes campus announcements and introductions to slide presentations when Program Supervisor is off.
• Coordinates and facilitates campus activities in coordination with the Program Supervisor.
• Helps plan and execute campus activities such as Student to Student Auctions and Walk-Throughs.
• Facilitates and helps fellows organize an end of cohort exhibition.

Compensation:

• May work up to but not more than 40 hours a week at $22 per hour.
• Room and board while on campus.
• Designated studio time on days off and outside of work hours and program needs.
