Ellye Sevier (she/her) is a local of the Pacific Northwest, born and raised in Tacoma where she first encountered glass art in middle school as a student of the Hilltop Artists program. Ellye graduated from Emerson College in 2024 with a degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, and Publishing. She worked on seasonal staff at Pilchuck Glass School for four years in various positions before joining Pilchuck’s marketing team in 2026 as the Digital Content Producer. Ellye also currently writes for Glass Quarterly magazine as their Seattle Correspondent, runs her own small glass art jewelry business, ellye rose studios, and occasionally works as an art handler for the Museum of Glass. When not making, handling or writing about glass art, Ellye loves to travel and explore the great outdoors.
