Throughout this presentation I will share my artistic life story from my beginnings in glass engraving to my current work, demonstrating how I create my intricate bee's wax models for lost wax kiln casting. I will focus on my method of multiple firings which allows for control over colour placement by attaching pre-cast elements and then re-casting the work. Another key aspect of my practise is coldworking the surface of a casting which enhances textures, creates contrasts and highlight details. I will provide sample pieces to illustrate the various stages of my process.
