Joe Cariati and Austin Fields bring two distinct philosophies of glassmaking to the field. Since 2007, Cariati established his presence in the design world before evolving into a direct-to-consumer and interior design-focused business. His practice is defined by precision, restraint and execution. Austin Fields approaches glass from the opposite direction. Her work is fluid, intuitive and sculptural, expanding into immersive wall installations that transform architectural space through light, reflection and form. Together, their practices explore the dynamic tension between structure and spontaneity, revealing how seemingly opposing philosophies can coexist in their studio.

About Joe Cariati and Austin Fields

Joe Cariati is a glassblower with 33 years experience, having built a presence in the design trade in 2007 through partnerships across the luxury retail landscape. His work is a blend of tradition and modernity, where mid-century design meets meticulous precision.

Austin Fields' practice is rooted in experimental, intuitive design, attuned to light, space and reflection. She creates hand-blown sculptures showcased in galleries, as well as in residential and corporate spaces. Her mirrored wall installations are interactive by nature, reshaping how a space is experienced.

Together they run a 4,500 square-foot studio in El Segundo, California, pairing precision and fluidity.
