Donating Artist Information

‍Thank you for donating artwork to Pilchuck Glass School's Auction & Gala!

Artists have been the heartbeat of Pilchuck Glass School since our founding in 1971 and have been fueling the mission through art donations at our auction for over forty-five years. By donating, you are supporting Pilchuck Glass School, which fosters and educates a diverse worldwide community that explores the creative use of glass in art and design.

New in 2025:
  • Artwork with accessible price points.‍
  • Functional objects: works of art that serve a functional purpose, such as drinkware, tableware, lighting, or other pieces that highlight the design application in glass.‍
  • Jewelry: one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces that highlight intricate craftsmanship and innovative design. We are looking for wearable art that blends creativity with elegance.

Benefits of donating artwork to the Pilchuck Auction

  • Exposure: Your work will be professionally displayed at this event where it will be viewed by hundreds of artists and glass enthusiasts. Your work will also be professionally photographed for the print and online Auction catalog.
  • Artist Appreciation Awards: Accepted donating artists will be eligible to receive one of our Artist Appreciation Awards. These selected works will be highlighted in the auction catalog and prizes include Pilchuck scholarships and more! Specific information for each award can be found on the Slideroom application and recipients will be selected based on their impact statement and artistic excellence.

Donated work typically ranges in retail value from $200 – $25,000+. Significant works in all mediums may be considered for the auction and a dedicated space will be used for presentation of multidisciplinary works at the event. To get an idea of what has been donated to our past auctions, you can view last year’s auction catalog. Artwork will be evaluated by a jury of art professionals using the following criteria to select and place artwork for the auction:

  • Aesthetic and technical quality
