Libenský-Brychtová Award

Acknowledging extraordinary talent and high achievement in the world of contemporary glass

‍

About the Libenský-Brychtová Award

The Libenský-Brychtová Award acknowledges extraordinary talent and high achievement in the world of contemporary glass. To determine recipients for this award, a jury is comprised of previous awardees. This jury considers an artist’s prominent standing in the world of contemporary glass, artistic achievement and educational leadership. Historically, the award has also acknowledged the teaching and ambassadorial contributions recipients have made to Pilchuck.

Named after Stanislav Libenský and Jaroslava Brychtová, the award honors their highly influential careers as internationally renowned artists and their many years of teaching at Pilchuck, inspiring many artists, personally and professionally. The Libenský-Brychtová Award is the most significant artistic accolade that an artist can receive from Pilchuck Glass School.
