Pilchuck Glass School's REFRACT Block Party

This free and open-to-the-public gathering will allow attendees to gather, learn more about Pilchuck Glass School, the Seattle-area glass community, with live glassblowing demonstrations and other free hands-on activities in glass for those of all ages.

We will also have previews of our 47th Annual Auction & Gala as well as an exhibition featuring artwork created by youth partners in our glass community, highlighting the next generation of artists working in glass. There will food and beverages available.

Mikey’s work is an exploration of the optical qualities of glass.   He creates nonfunctional vessels that capture and reflect light in unexpected ways. Through the manipulation of color, texture, and form, he creates pieces that are visually captivating and evoke a sense of wonder. He is inspired by the unique properties of glass and the endless possibilities of its manipulation. His goal is to create pieces that are visually stimulating.
