Storekeeper

This role is for all experience levels in glass, for artists interested in learning glass, or art-interested individuals who thrive at providing good customer service and have integrity. While primarily working in the store, depending on the session, this role may be asked to help in other areas of campus. The Storekeeper will build confidence and understanding in materials and supplies, as well as become familiarized with the intake and facing of inventory.

‍Recommended Experience:

• Should be interested in glass and being an integral part of an art school community.
• Retail experience or interest is a plus.
• Barista experience or an interest in learning.
• 2 years customer service experience would be ideal, but must be comfortable communicating with the public.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Drivers License is a plus.

General Outline Of Tasks:

• Assists the Store and Supplies Manager in stocking and distributing supplies and materials around campus.
• Handles POS cash register system and general merchandise questions.
• Makes espresso drinks to order.
• Assists campus participants with shipping options at the end of session.
• Logs all purchases; keeps track of all receipts.
• Attends weekly staff meetings.
• Maintains store cleanliness and product display.
• Packs and monitors online store orders.
• Helps track inventory.
• Cashier at the Student to Student Auctions.
• Daily reconciliation of sales.

Compensation:

• The Store Keeper position requires half a season commitment, however a full season commitment is preferred.
• The Store Keeper may work up to but not more than 40 hours a week at $22 per hour.
• Designated studio time on days off and outside of work hours and program needs.
• Room and board while on campus.
