Jeff Wallin

Jeff Wallin studied painting and printmaking at Whitman College, graduating in 1995 with a B.A. in Studio Art. His introduction to glass began in 1999, working with Ray Ahlgren at Fire Art Glass. Now the Studio Director at Fire Art, Jeff continues to gain new understandings in how to apply his experiences in the challenging medium of glass to his ongoing exploration of human forms. He was awarded the Sybren Valkema Award at Young Glass 2007, held in Denmark at the Glasmuseet Ebeltoft, and in 2008 he completed an artist residency at Vrij Glas Studio in Amsterdam. Jeff's work has been reviewed in the Urban Glass Quarterly and selected twice for publication in the Corning New Glass Review. He lives and works in Portland, Oregon.
