All skill levels welcome! In this course you'll learn how the shaping of individual pieces with simple cutting tools (nippers and a glass cutter) creates the directionality and appealing flow of mosaic.

Students will customize the provided design, choose from a selection of glass and tile, cut quantities of various shapes and sizes, arrange them on a template, transfer their design to a substrate, and finally transfer their mosaic piece by piece into mortar.

An award-winning mosaic artist since 2005, with an aesthetic steeped in materials analysis and innovation, Kelley began teaching her unique blend of contemporary and classically-influenced mosaic techniques in 2009. She's known worldwide for her unordinary work and her enthusiastic, inventive, yet technically-grounded approach to teaching that regularly moves students beyond their own creative expectations.
